The Anatomy of Writing Your Professional Bio

Are you an unknown in the world of film?

Or an up and coming talent with the capacity and aptitude as a professional filmmaker?

The answer to this question in a large degree is up to you!

1. The information that you provide about your skill set is fundamental to the world’s understanding of you, and as how you are viewed as a respected filmmaker.

2. Therefore, being viewed as a respected filmmaker will radically increase your odds of your work being found when someone stumbles upon the production lists or articles.

This short 5 minute video and the follow along worksheet will provide you the needed information to be able to write a bio that will help you stand out in the crowded field!

Happy Viewing,

ROBert

How to determine property ownership in Portage County

Here is an instructional
video I developed for my ITEC 67444 class at Kent State University called Teaching Online Courses. The idea for this came from my work as the Website & Social Media Coordinator for Breaking News the Movie. The video runs about 8 minutes long and after watching it you will be able to look up and determine on your own, any owner of a property in Portage County, Ohio.

I have given some extra bonus features for this posting.

If you wish to download the follow along pdf document for this video, click here.

I also have made this video available to download to your computer so that you can view it on your videophone or ipod if you wish, click here.

In addition, I have made a demo about the video software I used to record this video. To view this, click here.

Mp3 Tag Tools, How to use it to attach a photo

I found this program on the internet as part of doing the second week's class assignment. It is a great program that you can use to add a picture to your mp3 and several other things I show in my video.

I am going to post the two versions I did for class. Some how I missed that it had to be less than 4 minutes. So below is the director cut which is about six and half minutes......lol...

And the one below is the under 4 minute submitted version.

Enjoy,

PPT Pod Cast

For this post I have made a power point screen pod cast of one of my classes I did last year. This video is the opening morning lecture of that class. I thought it would make a great video to give everyone an idea about the class and foreclosures too.

Below is the full screen version that you can watch on your computer. I also have it in smaller version which a student could use to watch and listen to on an Zune or I-pod.

Enjoy.....

First Website Written

Well I finally did it. My first website. I wrote the two pages linked below as part of a group project for my computer application in education class.

http://computerapps5.weebly.com/music.html

http://computerapps5.weebly.com/physical-education.html

A couple of key things to point out that I discovered doing this. It is best to first write it in word and cut and paste it to the website. The major trick is to do several paragraphs rather than one long one like I did. Meaning make each paragraph its own block. That way you can add and remove things so much easier.

Hope that helps.

First Podcast

Good Afternoon,

Below you will find my first podcast. I have also attached a copy of the picture I used as the cover art for it. I will post shortly the program I used and how you can use it to add a picture(s) to any mp3's you have.

Just FYI about the picture it was taken last year when I was at Half Moon Kay in the Bahamas. I like to look at it to remember and think back to what a nice tropical beach looks like. Especially when we have those cold and rainy days here in North East Ohio.

First Bike Ride of the Year

Here is a picture of me on my mountain bike over by Towners Woods in Kent. It is a great bike trail to ride or even take a nice walk on. It is so nice to be able to get out in the great outdoors this time of year.

I have provided some links below to several websites that lists all the information about the trail and park.

Information from the Portage County Park about the trail

Map of the location of Towners Woods
http://www.portageparkdistrict.org/images/newportagemap.pdf

An article from the Kent Stater about the trail

Now that you know where it is, who knows maybe I will see you over there???
